Launched in 2014 for BMW Motorrad's 90th anniversary, the R nineT goes back to basics with the 1170cc air/oil 110hp boxer, S 1000 RR-derived 46mm inverted fork and shaft drive — deliberately light on electronics to appeal to custom builders. In 2017, fully adjustable forks and new instruments. Five variants followed: Pure, Racer, Urban G/S, Scrambler, /5.
