For 2017, the S 1000 R gains 5hp (165hp / 121kW), torque raised to 114Nm and a new frame 2kg lighter. The Gearshift Assist Pro (bidirectional quickshifter) appears as an option, with Launch Control integrated into the DTC. Euro 4 compliant. Optional HP forged wheels (−2.4kg unsprung mass). A mature and well-equipped superbike roadster.
